Heyyy, Heyyy!

Happy June...almost July!

Time flies, and that's exactly why I decided to stay off the socials this month. We get too accustomed to snapping each moment, as opposed to being in it. We use the excuse of making memories, yet we can't stay away from our devices long enough to truly breathe.

Moral? Make the most of each day, take photos, but don't let that consume the light in the day.

So what does "time flies" really imply? We often say a lot yet, it's rare that we know the gravity or in-depth meaning behind our words.

• Time = a man-made construct to regulate life and its events

• Flies = Passes by in a blink of an eye, rapidly

  
  

These are my on-the-fly definitions. However, your homework assignment #1: for the rest of this month is to write down what you catch yourself saying just because you always hear it, then define them biblically, then via the Webster dictionary, and lastly compare with your personal experience.

The goal? To connect the dots of similarity and pinpoint the differences.

WHY?

The Bible says: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

I now understand that when you have a deeper meaning behind anything, you move with solid intent and, better yet, execution in every aspect.

That verse, amongst countless others, emphasizes the beginning and end of what we say, whether we are aware or not. We're building trust each time we speak, creating roots, every time we choose the words we do. Your words are mere reflections of where your mind is or is not; they mirror your unseen outlook on life and yourself.

Just like I taught in my last in-person workshop, the order of our functionality as humans is spiritual, emotional, mental, and then physical.

Spiritual = Source / The Core

Homework Assignment #2: Ask yourself: What is your source?

Is it fear or faith-based?

Note: They cannot co-exist, and if you hesitate when answering, it's fear-based. In a previous blog post I mentioned that faith is directly correlated to the word of God, as are all things spiritual, but when mindsets are normalized in the world, it pulls us further away from the perfect teachings of God, which are mainly revealed through His Word.

What's the moral?

I took a dig deeper. Come out of the mundane routines and group thinking of the world. Seek Him even more intentionally, and in that, He will make you more hypersensitive to the words you use, consume, and respond to.

The words we use build trust in either direction, and whether we think it's just a saying or we're "just playing," as the Bible states, you are either speaking life or death in every instance, simultaneously planting your roots in fear or faith.
