Truth Behind "Writer's Block"

Writer's Block WHERE? | Chantelle Adanna Agbro
Writer's Block WHERE? | Chantelle Adanna Agbro

One thing I rarely people confess is the tug, the pull, the song, the dance, and the constant back and forth the process of writing can be.

It doesn't have to be a large piece like a screenplay, a novel, or a memoir... it could just be a simple post, a tweet of 140 characters, that doesn't flow as seamlessly as it used to.

Why is that?

Where did the halt come from?

There has to be a reason because coincidences don't exist. If the mind is foggy or blank and our source is spiritual, that's a clear indication of a disconnect at the spiritual level.

The "writer's block" is just the symptom of that root issue.

When did this occur? When did you lose communication with God? Is it when you stopped praying,? Is it because you never read the Bible to understand it, just to complete a task and unpack a verse without full context? Is it when you got lost in translation of having a relationship? Was it when you started to listen to certain music, or hang out with certain people, or eat certain foods?

When was it?

When did you lose appreciation and thankfulness for just WHO HE IS?

I don't see people talking about the toil it can be to put the thoughts in your head onto paper.

From the outside, it seems like the simplest, easiest thing.

However, like Paul in Romans, said he thinks he discovered a law that explains the battle between his members and his spirit, aka the battle between flesh and blood vs. spirits in high places.

Yes, this means the matter is spiritual.

Matthew 10:20 says, "For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you."

For context, this is following instructions for the disciples from Jesus Christ of how they were to minister the gospel to the lost sheep of Israel.

Homework: Read Matthew 9 -12, write down when you experienced a block or shift with your relationship with God.

Now, what I correlated in my brain is what if, when we're assigned to speak or to write for a people ona specific topic, the enemy frustrates those plans because it's his only job and we give more legal right the more we sin without repentance (iniquity).

The physical manifestation of that is us becoming nervous or avoidant towards it; it's because you haven't surrendered. There's a strong hold that is against Him, whther we know it or not that's placing us in our own way.

For instance, even with Moses, when He was told to write down the commandments and then go up against the Egyptians, the same people who raised him, to free God's people from captivity and the Egyptians' constant rebellion. He was so conflicted yet, because he surrendered He was able to lead. There were areas he still didn't fully surrender in, which some would say is why he never made it to that land of milk n honey, or lived to his fullest potential.

Back to the point, so, what if, because life is spiritual, we cannot operate in the freedom of fearlessness and peace because we're still bound. We're still stuck, locked, chained. We're still trying to control the outcome?

I found that this is why solitude and hearing God clearly is so important.

Writer's block is a Spiritual block.

Either He is trying to get your attention or your're stagnant because you've completely rebelled and now hear from a fami(liar) spirit and not the spirit of truth.

This is what happened to me., which is why I can speak so candidly about it. I was practicing yoga, spending money on edibles every week, listening to music of artists who are clearly worshipping demonic deities, in sexual immoral sin. All this plus more opened the door wide for the enemy and he was having a field day with the end goal to eliminate me from this planet.

I'd hear whispers some days like "You're worthless," "Your family is better off without you," "You're a disappointment," "Look at your age and what do you have to show for it," "You can't write another book," "I'm not really a writer," Nobody wants to work with me." "I can't be fluent in spanish." "I'll never get married or have kids" etc.

All these wor curses, spoken from the tongue of a serpant spiritually that we labale as negative or deceptive thoughts. Yes okay, great, but what is the root? Where did they derive from? Childhood trauma is much deeper than what they trend it to be.

I just said to the cashier is Sprouts the other day, it's crazy, how we took things for granted as kids like having actual seeds in our fruit that we're desperately looking for these days.

It's amazing the times we take for granted like just having a sound mind...

  • I hope this helps someone, God- Jehovah Rapha is a healer and there's no gimmick or loophole about it. Just believe in His word.
