Exalt the Word of God over Exhaustion!

Does anyone else feel exhausted, and it's only Q1? Or maybe it's not in everything you feel exhausted, but the moment it comes to worshiping God or studying His word, it hits you "out of nowhere?"

Yes, well, that's not a coincidence. Remember, I mentioned those don't exist. There's always a reason for everything, whether we are aware of it or not.

However, if you feel drained emotionally, it's a reflection of being drained spiritually, so what does your relationship with Christ look like? I'm jumping straight to the chase because I don't entertain temporary fixes...I go straight for the real thing. So if that's you, then you'll answer the question honestly.

I want you to take more pauses this week.

Prompt: What does it feel like to be still?

Do you feel the urge to move constantly to drown out the noise of your reality?

Do it for longer than 10 minutes, strive for an hour. Why? Because it's in the silence where the problems are highlighted, and it's in the silence with God's word, where we find the answer.

Meditate on the word; Joshua 1:8.

If you feel stagnant, stuck, uncertain, or hopeless, I want you to take 1 hour of your day and sit with yourself and the Holy Spirit, in order to get to know Him intimately.

You only need yourself and a Bible; you don't need anything or anyone else.

Remember, the goal of the enemy is to keep us (dis)tracted, and sometimes that could be as small as, you are hyper fixating on wanting to write, but nothing is coming to mind, and you're supposed to be in the word of God, reading.

One thing that has rung true this year, thus far for me, is: just because you are gifted doesn't mean that can't be turned into an idol and in turn used against God.

The Bible says your gifts are without repentance, so you can use them how you choose. Yet, it will only bare fruit when it honors Him. All this to say, take this last full week of Q1 to take a spiritual inventory of where you are, where you'd like to be, and acknowledge God in every decision henceforth.

Everyone should watch these messages: God is a Jealous God & You've Been Served (start at the time stamp 51:35 for the message)

Very powerful and very serious. Let me just say that no one is above repentance, and if you're serious about getting closer to God, then you need to be serious about laying down idols in private AND PUBLIC.

On that note, let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I rebuke the spirit of exhaustion, and I repent for complaining and murmuring at any point. Jesus, I know that it is a blessing to even have the word of God so easily accessible in this day and age. Let me never take your presence, word, or warnings/corrections for granted ever again. Father, I pray for anyone reading this that you meet them exactly where they are and reveal to them what they need to do to be right with you, no matter their age or stage of life. Thank you, Father for your mercy which endures forever and for your light that continuously guides us. Thank you for autonomy and the ability to decree and declare in our dominion in the earth. I pray that your sheep hear you and hear you well, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.

Until April!

-With Love, Telley!
