Silence's Intensity«

Ivory Coast.

Police Brutality.

Natural Disasters.

It is all connected.

Let's all take a moment of silence for all of these horrific events and the boatload of inhumane things that happen daily.

If you've ever thought to yourself at any time, "What affect does me not taking a stand on an issue or agreeing with an inhumane decision have to do with you?" just take a look at the world right now because we are reminded of it everyday.

Now, before you exit from this post because you think that it's something you've already heard, I'm going to assure it's the exact opposite.

I'm not here to brief you on everything that you already know about and this is also not a call to action to "save the world" and to be "super hero", but it is a call to speak up when your gut is telling you to.

With that said, I am going to transition into asking this one simple question that I feel is the solution to it ALL:

"All the things in life that make life beautiful are being destroyed."

- Leymah Gbowee

"When you see, not only intellectually but with your heart too, how we are all connected, how can you harm one another? It's the same as harming oneself."

- Narissa Doumani

This past week I had the honor of attending the Philadelphia Conference for Women. There had to have been at least 9,000 women there, which contributed to the wonderful experience I had.

Jessica Alba was there and also a phenomenal speaker, who stood out to me, by the name of Leymah Gbowee, her words resonated in my heart from the second she spoke, up until right now.

The message was fruitful for me and it was the epitome of what purpose means for every individual in life.

So, of course I have to share my take away, it's only right!

Well anyways, Mrs. Leymah began her spiel by explaining the reasons why we as a people should care for and about one another into three answers.

  1. The world is a global village.

  2. There are more good people than evil people in the world.

  3. It gives hope to humanity.

Whether we all want to admit it or not, the truth of the matter is that throughout all these devastating catastrophes that keep happening, the world is merging closer with each one.

I know it's hard to believe or see, but it is true.

The world is merging in ways we can't measure with the human mind nor in ways we even asked for.

However, be aware that if a sector of the world is in distress, inevitably the rest of the world shares that same distress.

We are connected. It is all connected. Don't forget that.

I feel like in the world now, especially this generation, there is an acquired habit of a selfishness that is inhumane.

Yes, if you recall I did speak about selfishness not to long ago and how it has pros but this selfishness that I'm referring to derives from barbaric tendencies.

It is on another level.

A lot of corruption that occurs in the world could be stopped with either the voice, the opinion, or the interjection of all the people who disagree. If you look at statistics globally (which I'm not going to get into detail at the moment) of the percentages of people who led malicious and vengeful ideas/groups, in comparison to the ones that were against it, the good outweighs the bad in every case.

Why is it that the good ones stay silent?

By stander.

Is it because we are afraid of retaliation?

Is it because we think it doesn't affect us individually and it's easier to ignore?

Is it because we really are that unrelenting that we honestly could care less?

Obviously I don't have the answer because I am asking you all for your thoughts, but I do know for a fact that every little act of kindness brings us a step closer to peace, harmony, and love.

As much as we think Love is irrelevant to us individually whether it be because you never experienced it, you don't know if you've experienced it, or you've had a bad experience with it, Love is never going anywhere and you will always need it!

The issue around all these countries including the USA with the continuation of hate groups, cults, and hate crimes evolving, are the result of lack and absence of Love, Courage, Hope and Equality.

"Courage is not the absence of fear but acquired ability to move beyond fear."

Imagine, if skin-color, money, power, and greed were all non-existent.

We would be inseparable.

Don't you think?

But I guess that would make life way too easy, huh?

Having hope for all, feeds the reality of love making the earth circulate. We should not be teaching generations to come that good is abnormal and evil is normal.

I think we should initially expect people to be nice and trusting towards each other because again we essentially are all the same.

Contrary to what many may believe, there is only one RACE and that is the HUMAN RACE.

The sooner we realize the concept of "If one falls, we all fall"; the quicker we can see that #WeCarry one another's being.

I know this is deep and you are probably reading this like ,

"What in the world is this girl talking about?"

But I thank GOD for this gift of 20/20 vision emotionally, physically, and mentally because it gives me the ability to share this truth fluidly with you all.

I urge everyone who takes the time to read through this to really ponder on this message because it's so much deeper than its surface.

Remember: Every act of good counts, don't ever second-guess that!

"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."

-Nelson Mandela

Recently, I had a family outing at the movies with my mother and my sisters. It was very comforting, as it always is for me when I am surrounded by my loved ones enjoying one another's laughter. They

Your scent, your touch, your smile and your gaze; replays in my mind like Christmas carols during the holidays. But you don't care... You picked up and left as IF a piece of my heart you never shared.

God has the FINAL say!

Today was one of those days where I wasn't necessarily questioning the order of events in life but just concerned on the pace things were moving. You know the feeling where you just feel really dull b
